No it's not Henny Penny this time but the sky is about to fall ... well at least the (was secret) US Spy satellite that will fall on this lovely planet in about the first week in March (now get this right guy's - I've booked a $25 return flight to Amsterdam and I wouldn't want to lose a major investment like that !)Anyway the Powers That Be say they are going to shoot it down with a missile (or two if the first one misses).
Now that's very sensible and laudable and I'm sure they'll put the best available shot onto it and I wish him/her luck.
HOWEVER (and isn't there always a however ?) I've just checked with my insurance company who said * oh no we don't do that !" or words to that effect.
When we finally find out the exact day and time if this great event then we will all be able to take precautions (no not condoms .. although that might be nice)
This is what you do to avoid the smaller pieces that will undobtedly end up showering down somewhere ....
Go to the Cellar or under the stairs (these are the strongest places in your house) and wrap up warm with several sweaters and coats amd a hat with a torch and thermos of tea/coffee ad sandwiches... it won't help but it may take your mind off things and at least you'll fell you are doing something useful/Make sure you have a charged up Mobile Phone (in case of emergency) and a candle & matches and a bottle of water.
Praying wouldn't hurt too !
