What's the Truth about taking surveys for Cash - well it's not quite as simple as it sounds. Big companies need the marketing information bt they mostly put it out to independent market research companies - who use agents or subcontractors with fairly strict guidelines.So don't bother writing in to MacDonals or Pizza Hut - they already have arrangements in place.
There really ARE opportunities about being a mystery shopper or taking telephone surveys though and I've placed a discussion about these on my new Squidoo Lens

It looks like unles you are prepared to spend many hours researching companies till you find one keen to take new researchers/surveyors, its probably better to sign up with an agency or better still buy a list of companies that actually ARE looking for people. I've weeded out the obvious con artists selling 20 year old lists (or ones they bought on ebay for $2 !) so I think these are genuine offers.
Please let me know if you've had problems doing survey/mystery shopping work and I'll add them to the list after checking them out.
