Kenmare Virtual Tour Updated
I've now added pages on bed and breakfasts, the Ring of Kerry Tour and Hotels (with a booking bit too !)I started answering Kerry and Kenmare questions on Tripadvisor and that's quite fun too - but things are changing rapidly in Kenmare - a new development called the Peninsula has been announced and there's a public exhibition to show residents what it will be like - I think local shopkeepers are a bit worried as there's a new shopping centre and a large supermarket envisaged. (but the 720 parking places will be welcome - parking's getting to be a major problem)
Altogether I guess the plan will DOUBLE the size of Kenmare and I wonder what the town will be like then.
It could benefit from new amenities but I think the building projects will seriously affect traffic in the town and surroundings.
I'll look at the project and report on it
Ooooh I nearly forgot ! Vodaphone and O2 are trying to get a huge new mast put up on the Garda Station and all the residents are LIVID.
