Sex and the B&B

Something happens to people when they stay at our B&B - not everyone of course but most people obviously are in a holiday mood or are away for a naughty weekend/midweek break.
We can always tell them as they don't know what their partner drinks at breakfast !

Then there's the effect of room no 1 ... it turns quite normal sane looking people into nymphomaniacs and satyrs ! In fact it turns them into sex addicts and the rest of the guests seem to get infected by it too !!
Sometimes we think we should strengthen the floor in Room 1 as the bedsprings are obviously getting a terrible pounding..
Then there are the screamers - we thought of holding a competition for the loudest - but one lady would have walked that hands down (well I think it was hands !)
I've taled to many b&b owners and they all have one room with that effect - but not quite as strong as ours - we've even found residents having it away on the stairs (several times)and with legs akimbo out of their car window in the carpark.

It's just a nice romantic B&B - but room no 1 has a lot to answer for !

I considered advertising the effect (as that seems very popular) but one B&B who did that got closed down so I didn't do that !!

Of course sometimes that room has the opposite effect - especially with some older ladies (the room is tastefully decorated with pastel colours and Russell Flint Prints and has an Art Nouveau feel about it - and it's cosy too) I definitely get the feeling with those ladies that the husband would want to do that sex thing again like he did 50 years ago and they're not having any of that !

Have I tried Room 1 ... I couldn't possibly comment !

What a Giggle !

Please go and try this out ... right now !
It's an Ink-Blot Test and I howled with laughter
It's nothing to do with me - just a bit of fun - enjoy.

Bank Holiday in Ireland

What a weekend it was - Kenmare was full of rally cars and spectators trying to park (and VERY rude some of the rally drivers were too )
We were besieged with people wanting to stay and some inconsiderate person who'd booked two rooms just didn't turn up - despite phone a couple of times to say he was on his way (actually he got his kid to do that) and then finally admitting at 9.30 that he was still in Dingle - a 2 and a half hour drive away.
That was really annoying - not just for the loss of income (it's one of the few weekends we ge a number of guests) but the fact that we had four parties of lost tourists who were desperate for a room ... and I tried really hard to help them by phoning other b&b's but without success - so I ended up with two empty rooms on the busiest night of the year ! And with the cerain knowledge that I could have had them filled.

The Rally did after all close the mountain road and Kenmare was like a ghost town while the spectators went to the hills to watch other people drive cars in the rain !

It's very quiet here now but it looks like August will be really busy.

I drove to Torc Falls yesterday and got some great shots of the falls in full spate with a truly beautiful Spring Green everywhere.
